Snaidero opens a new exclusive flagship store in the heart of Dubai. Dedicated to the kitchen universe, this space is geared to both the retail and contract sectors and aimed at “top-end luxury-seeking” clients. Here, customers who want exclusive tailor-made solutions will delight in all that Snaidero has to offer with its well-established 72-year tradition of premium kitchens with cutting-edge designs.

And, as a location, it has chosen the Sheikh Zayed Road, one of the most beautiful thoroughfares in Dubai which is not only a motorway but also the longest road in the country. It starts in Al-Silah in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and finishes at the border with Oman in the emirate of Ras-Al-Khaimah, running alongside the coastline of the Persian Gulf.

The new flagship store embodies Snaidero stylishness in 300 square meters of pure design and provides a complete overview of the product range in a curated and meticulously composed layout. Seven seminal projects from Snaidero’s lineup have been housed inside the showroom, including Ola20 and Idea – two kitchens which stem from the strong bond between Snaidero and Pininfarina and epitomise their fertile working partnership.

This flagship store is a showcase of excellence for both the retail and contract sector which is thriving in Dubai as a result of ongoing high-end residential development. One fine example of this is the project undertaken by Snaidero over the past few months in a building situated on the glitzy island of Palm Jumeirah where 60 upmarket apartments were fitted out with Snaidero kitchens.

Quintessential Italian made-to-measure kitchen design brand Snaidero officially opened the doors to its flagship studio in Dubai Design District, d3, the region’s most prestigious creative design hub.

Snaidero’s opening in d3, a crucial investment for the brand, is part of its international expansion strategy and aligns with the projected growth anticipated with the upcoming Expo 2020. The company has been exporting its kitchens all over the globe for over 50 years via a network of 250 specialist stores in over 80 countries. 2016, a year that also marks the company’s 70th Anniversary, will see the brand take a strong foothold in the Middle East market.

The showroom, a fine recreation of Snaidero’s distinctive design style provides a complete overview of its exclusively made in Italy kitchen design range with phenomenal attention to detail and meticulous selection of the finest materials. Space is a perfect embodiment of style, creativity, elegance and good taste, qualities that Italian products are recognized throughout the world.

Well attended by architects and the design community at large, the grand opening was made special by the presence of Edi Snaidero, President and Chief Executive Office of Snaidero and Paolo Pininfarina, Chairman of Pininfarina. The partnership between Snaidero and Pininfarina, quite unique in the kitchen design sector, has stood the test of time for over 25 years. The two-star brands in the history of Italian industrial design have under the vision of its founders grown from small artisan status to high-level industry, burnishing the unique image of Italian manufacturing all over the world.

Talking on the occasion of the opening, Paolo Pininfarina said, “A passion for design is the glue that has kept Snaidero and Pininfarina together for over 25 years. Snaidero celebrates its 70th anniversary and inaugurates #Snaidero70, a year filled with events and initiatives narrating the story of a brand that has made Italian design history.

“Yesterday’s future is the dynamic present of today’ commented Edi, Snaidero’s Chairman, ‘and this achievement is an occasion for us to recall those significant moments that have shaped our history, without losing sight of the challenges lying ahead. Ours has always been a company with a far-sighted approach that has defined trends and styles, and experimented with materials and forms which have forged the identity of a brand appreciated worldwide for its authenticity, quality and distinct character.”

Snaidero, the quintessential Italian kitchen and icon of authentic Italian design worldwide, turns 70: doesn’t look the age, though it’s true. An anniversary to remember and celebrate, because a brand’s longevity is a tangible sign that a company and its products have been able to convey value over time.

Snaidero’s beginnings are rooted in Majano (Udine) in January 1946, when the founder, Rino Snaidero​, – an upstanding man from Friuli and a true pioneer of Italy’s reconstruction, – chose to take up the challenge of his era in what would become the test of his life. A test based on intelligence of mind and hands: essentially, on work. Through its incessant activity, the brand would become among the first to inaugurate the signature design era, ever since the 1960s, by establishing relations with leading figures of Italian design – including Mangiarotti, Gae Aulenti, Offredi and the prestigious Pininfarina and Iosa Ghini studios. Over the years, the drawing boards of these renowned designers have yielded projects of refined beauty, worthy of being showcased – as in the case of the Spazio Vivo kitchen – at MoMA in New York, the international cradle of avant-garde. After all, experimentation has always been second nature to Snaidero – in terms of both design and the search for new materials. An example of this is Snaidero’s pioneering use of the curve – a symbol of positive and encouraging thinking – in kitchen design; it was among the first companies to experiment design techniques based on Universal Design, with the Skyline project, affording people the opportunity to move freely within their domestic spaces. In its tireless activity, Snaidero continues to innovate by responding to a highly complex market with collections and solutions that appeal to different tastes, thanks to transversal styles, languages and options.

#Snaidero70 is a voyage through time based on a series of initiatives scheduled for 2016: a commemorative exhibition to be held at the company, made possible thanks to long and meticulous research through archives that unearthed images, words, drawings and records of the brand’s history. In addition, the work reveals an astonishing slice of Italy’s history. #70annidiSnaidero also promises to be a complex digital communication project, with special contents, stories and interviews with people who’ve lived through the various eras. To further underline the brand’s modernity, the project will embrace a multi-channel approach encompassing all the new social platforms, including Facebook and Instagram.
